Spread the heating year over ten payments, and still pay the cash price on every delivery.

The part that is different

Budget customers pay the COD price

Most budget plans work by charging you a higher per-gallon rate in exchange for level payments. That is how the payments get smoothed out, and it is why a budget usually costs you something.

Ariba prices every budget delivery at the COD price on the day it is delivered. You get the level payment and the cash price. Budgets priced at COD are unique to Ariba Oil.

The COD price stays in effect as long as your payments are up to date.

Good to know before you call

We can set the budget up faster if you have a rough idea of these three:

  • About how much is in your tank now
  • About how many gallons you use in a year
  • Whether you use oil for hot water too

Do not worry if you are not sure. We can work from your delivery history.

How the budget works

All of it, in plain terms. There is no fine print on this page that is not on this page.

The schedule
Ten payments, June through March, based on your anticipated consumption for the year.
Final balance
Any balance still due at the end of March is payable by April 10th.
Overpayment
If you have paid in more than you burned, the difference is carried into next year's budget automatically. It is not lost.
Paying
We email a statement each month. Payment is due by the 10th. Most online banking lets you set this as an autopay, which is the easiest way to run it. Payments after the 10th are credited to your account but may count as late.
Automatic delivery
Required. All budget customers are also automatic delivery customers, so a completed automatic delivery application is part of signing up.
Card on file
The automatic delivery agreement includes a credit card release form. It is used only in the event a payment is missed.
Adjustments
If you are burning less than we estimated we can lower the monthly amount. If you are burning more, we reserve the right to raise it. A complete delivery history makes the first estimate more accurate.
Renewal
Budget agreements renew automatically unless you tell us otherwise.
Starting late
Missed June? Not a problem. We can put you on a modified payment schedule for the rest of the year.
