About Ariba Oil.

Ariba Oil started in August of 1981 as a sister company of two well established companies in Essex County.  The idea for Ariba Oil was a discount heating oil company that could provide fast timely deliveries of any size to people in New Jersey.  In 1985, the current owner took over the management and started independently at a new location in Hudson County.

Ariba has since relocated to Irvington to better access the loading facilities at major oil companies.  This location is strategically located at the intersesection of the Garden State Parkway and I-78.  This puts us within minutes of loading from Sunoco and Shell Oil's Motiva plant.  We can readily access the NJ Turnpike, I-78, I-80, I-24, I-1 and I-9.  The logistical benefits of locating close to suppliers and routes can be passed along to our customers as a savings.

Ariba is proud of the fact that we were able to grow and prosper as an alternative to the high priced established firms.  The fact that we took a value added approach to discount heating oil, has allowed for our growth and long-term stability.  Many discount operations are off shoots of full service firms that exist only because of discounters like Ariba Oil.

The focus of Ariba Oil as a pure discount company is to provide HEAT to all our customers, helping to get service and fast deliveries when you need it, not just when it is convenient to deliver.  We are not a full service oil company just in the discount business.

People often ask why reside in Irvington?  Simply put, we are located where heating oil enters North Jersey: the end of the Colonial Pipeline.  The pipeline supplies the New York area with gasoline and oil for the entire region.  Staying close to the supply eliminates extra trucking fees by limiting the distance from the source to your home.  Irvington is strategically located near I-78, I-80, the I-95 NJ Turnpike, I-1 & I-9 and the Garden State Parkway.
